Kinder Cooking Parties

We can run fun cooking activities for your budding cooks/bakers and you can relax, knowing that we deal with all the clearing and washing up! We’ll plan age-appropriate menus with you and help the children to create some delicious treats.

A standard cooking party lasts 1½- 2 hours, making at least 1 savoury and 1 sweet item and costs £100 for up to 8 children

This includes cooking/making activities for about 1.5 hours and about 30 minutes for eating unless you want  a party where all the treats are taken home.

We offer parties for several age groups- (adult ratios are set by our insurers)

Ages 3-5- each child will need an adult

Ages 5-7 --1 adult for up to 6 children (first 6 children covered by Kinder Cooking tutor)

Ages 7+ --- 1 adult for up to 8 children- (covered by Kinder Cooking tutor)

Mixed ages will need appropriate adults as above

Additional children may be added by agreement at a cost of £10 per child and appropriate supervision but please note the numbers may be limited due to oven/kitchen facilities and Kinder Cooking currently does not have extra staff.

We can keep the mess  completely out of your house if you hold the party at a hired venue. The venue will need sufficient kitchen and workspace facilities so please contact us for the locations we would be able to use.

What we provide

Aprons to use during the party

Recipe cards

Bags to take any spare food home- these could be decorated if there’s time

A paper chef’s hat to decorate.

Orange and/or blackcurrant squash or bottled fizzy water

Optional extra

Foodie activity eg making an edible necklace  £ 1.50 per child

Party bags may be possible for an additional charge.

What is not included.

The hire of the party venue

Our research suggests that most parents prefer to deal with party invitations and disposable tableware themselves, especially if they have a theme in mind. We have a couple of basic invitation templates which you could print out yourself and we have a small range of general cups/plates/napkins/tablecovers which we can supply for an additional charge.

A birthday cake- again parents may have a theme in mind. I’m not a professional cake maker and I’d hate for you or your child to be disappointed on their special day.

Extra drinks to be served whilst eating.

Any party food not part of the cooking party arrangement.

Party games, activities and supervision for when the children are not cooking (if needed) Generally speaking the cooking activities will keep up to 8 children occupied for the 1½ hours, especially if they decorate their hats or bags as well.

Party bags unless as agreed above

Clearing and cleaning of any space not used for cooking activities by Kinder Cooking eg separate game room.

Example of a pizza party by age

3-5 years Pitta bread pizzas and fruit kebabs or decorating 2 cupcakes

5-7 years- Pizza whirls and cookies/cake pops

7 years plus- Bread dough based pizza and muffins/biscuits

The best thing is to contact us and discuss what you have in mind. If we can do it then we’ll happily adapt to your needs.
