Helping children to enjoy food and cooking, be creative and hopefully learn a little along the way!

About Kinder Cooking

Hello, my name is Jill and I am a qualified primary school teacher with many years experience of teaching the primary school age range in Derbyshire. As part of my teaching role in a local school, I developed a food, cooking and nutrition curriculum, ran a successful cooking club and have organised many food related events.

I realised that this is where my passion lies, and so, wanting to combine my love of teaching and cooking I have set up Kinder Cooking.

My aim is to ignite in children a love of good, home-made food alongside an understanding of nutrition and where food comes from through fun cooking activities. It is my experience that the more children cook for themselves, the more new tastes they are willing to try!

As well as the practical skills involved in cooking, I also teach children about important aspects of Food Hygiene and how to keep themselves safe in the kitchen.

I have DBS clearance and hold a Level 2 Food Hygiene and Safety certificate, a first aid qualification and a Level 2 nutrition qualification
